What's Your Family Situation?

Type A — I'm already practising with my child

  • Get professional feedback on your learner's driving skills

  • Identify bad habits and areas needing improvement

  • Know what to focus on during supervised practice at home

Type B — I'd like a professional to teach the foundations first

  • Build essential driving skills with a professional instructor

  • Develop vehicle control, observation and safe decision-making

  • Assess your learner's progress before moving towards more independent practice at home

What you get?

  • Individual assessment: Lessons tailored to your learner's current ability.

  • Structured progression: Develop skills at a suitable pace, without rushing through the foundations.

  • Clear progress feedback: Understand what's improving and what needs more practice.

  • Guidance for home practice: Know which skills to reinforce between lessons.

  • Ongoing support: Return for further coaching as your learner develops or approaches their driving test.

FAQs

Should I still practise with my child myself?

Yes. Professional lessons can complement supervised practice at home and help you focus on the skills your learner needs to develop.

Should my child learn the basics with an instructor first?

That can be a suitable starting point if you're not yet comfortable supervising them. Their readiness for supervised practice should be assessed individually.

How will I know what my child needs to practise?

You'll receive structured progress feedback highlighting strengths and areas that need further work.

What if my child has already completed many logbook hours?

Professional lessons can identify gaps, reinforce good habits and help your learner work towards test readiness.

How many lessons will my child need?

Every learner progresses differently. Lessons are tailored to their current ability and development.

Can my child receive 3-for-1 logbook hours?

Eligible learner drivers may record three logbook hours for every hour of professional instruction, subject to applicable NSW requirements.
